We make LightSIDE available freely for researchers and businesses that are interesting in using LightSIDE for their applications. In exchange, we ask that users provide us with basic information about who they are and how they're making use of LightSIDE's capabilities. To help us with that, please provide the following information before downloading LightSIDE.

Some attributions are in order: Prior versions of this software got input and design suggestions from Moonyoung Kang, Sourish Chaudhuri, Yi-Chia Wang, Mahesh Joshi, Eric Rosé, Martin Van Velsen, and Carolyn Penstein Rosé. Over the lifetime of the software, those students have been funded through various grants from the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research's Cognitive and Neural Sciences division.

LightSIDE is licensed under the GPLv3 (license text is included in your download, like parsley garnish on the side of a delicious dish). We make use of several open source packages within the source code, such as Weka, LibLinear, Apache Commons Math, RiverLayout, the Stanford POS Tagger, Trove, and icons courtesy of FamFamFam.

Contact me about updates and improvements to LightSIDE (we will not give your email address to others).
